L'Huile Essentielle Revivifiante de Vitex est actuellement présentée comme un puissant équilibreur de l'énergie féminine. Aussi connue sous le nom de Gattilier, cette herbe copieuse était censée purifier les corps et les esprits. Distillées à la vapeur à partir des baies de l'arbre Vitex, les anciennes femmes athéniennes s'imprégnaient cérémonieusement de cette baie précieuse, dont on disait qu'elle les rendait pures et chastes.
